It is with deep sadness that we announce the recent passing of Den Shelton of Staines Boat Club and emeritus vice-president of Remenham Club. Den rowed in a very successful SBC 8+ in the 1950s and served on Remenham Club’s committee for many years.
This year’s dinner will be in London RC on Friday, April 23. Tickets are £36, more details from Rupert Hare, or from the poster.
On a fine day on the Tideway, the Remenham Challenge was re-invigorated on a course from Chiswick to Hammersmith. As you will already know, the Remenham Club has decided to reinstate the Remenham Challenge as a separate winter head race between the Founding Clubs. This will be held on the Tideway on Sunday 24 January 2010 at 11:30, over a downriver course from Chiswick to Hammersmith.
Remenham Club will be awarding a prize to the fastest men’s and women’s crew from a Founding Club at the 2009 Fours Head. The prizes will be awarded at Vesta RC, Wednesday, 9th December. [details]
